This is a 1950s two-piece silk dress and jacket set. It features a 3D polka dot print.
The dress has short cuffed sleeves, a round neckline, a natural waistline and a flared skirt. It has a smocking detail around the front of the neckline and a matching skinny belt. Centre back neck and side metal zipper closures.
The matching jacket is nipped at the waist and flares out over the hips. The 3/4 length sleeves have angled cuffs. There are two large covered buttons to close at the centre front. The double-pointed collar is absolutely gorgeous with smocking details and curving around the back neck.

CONDITION:
Unfortunately, this set does have some condition issues for which it will require some TLC. Most of the beautiful silk is still in great shape though and we would love to see this set get some more life.
Most notably, the underarms of the dress are completely torn and in need of repair. The left side has previously been repaired. The hem has come undone in a few places and needs to be stitched back.
The silk of the belt buckle is worn at the edges.
The left cuff of the jacket is torn on the inside where it has come away from its placement stitching. Some dark marks on the top back of the jacket. The hem of the jacket has also come undone in a few places.
